I survived
I am finally back to blogging for a little while now that school is out. I survive the semester and although it was stressful at times it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I finished my dental assisting class at the ATC back in September and I'm now just waiting to start my externship. I hope that I start soon so I don't forget everything that I learned. School at Weber was great. My worst class was public speaking because I hate speaking in front of people but thanks to my mom who listened to my speeches over and over while I practice I ended up with an acceptable grade. All of my other classes were alright except some of them were really boring but I didn't care as long as I got a good grade. Next semester I'm taking math and I'm a little nervous because I haven't done the school type of math for about 5 years. Hopefully I will have some time to blog a couple more times before school starts again.

Christmas Eve Shirts
We did another project that I found on Pinterest. You use the kids foot and hands to make a reindeer they turned out super cute. Zoey's has a bit of character because she did not want to open her hand. I don't know if anyone has ever tried to get a 2 month old to lay their hand down flat but it's not easy. My mom, Robyn and me were all trying to pry her hand open and we still couldn't keep it open. Don't mind that the kids don't have clothes on we were using paint and didn't want to get it on their clothes. Addisyn was so patient when we made her wait to finish her shirt while we finished the younger kids shirts. I don't have a picture of the final product yet because we were waiting for them to dry but I will definitely post a picture when I see the girls in their shirts on Christmas Eve.
We decided to have them sit on the counter so that we didn't have to work on the floor.
It definitely got a little crazy when we got the paint on Zoey's hand she was very upset which upset Oakley who thought that we were hurting her sister and they both ended up crying.
Oakley was very insistent that I sit on the counter with her.I was so glad that my mom was about to come help because it took all three of us to get this project done without making a giant mess.

On a side note I have to say that Oakley is really cute and always makes me feel so good about myself when I see her. She can be quite the handful sometimes because she is very busy but I sure do love her. The other day I was watching Zoey while Robyn and my mom took the girls on a field trip for preschool to see Santa and Oakley wanted to go with me so bad that she climbed into the back seat of my car.
Family Pictures
It was decided that we would take individual family pictures for my grandma's birthday since she needed updated pictures. This is one of the few good pictures that we got. I learned that I don't know how to hold my head up straight in picture. I guess I will have to work on keeping my head straight before we get family pictures taken since Robyn and Brittany are ruining the family.
This is Adam trying to make me smile for the picture like I'm a little kid.
This is me trying to act scared. What can I say I'm not a very good actress. Adam was less than impressed with my performance.

My Creation
I am totally addicted to pinterest. I think that it's pretty much the best thing ever invented. I saw an idea on there to make a cheeseball into a snowman so when I needed to bring something to our family Christmas party I knew what I needed to bring. Robyn will try to tell you that she made it but we all know that's not true. It turned out super cute and I look forward to making many more things that I find from pinterest.
Graduation
Brittany and Andy graduated from Weber this month so of course we all went to graduation. The speak was boring so I was glad to take Oakley out in the hall to run around. Robyn brought her girls and they were good throughout the whole three hour graduation. Brittany was nice enough to let Dayton graduate with her. When we got to graduation we realized that a lot of people that we knew were graduating so it was fun to try to find them in the crowd. The best part of graduation was going to Olive Garden after. I'm sure Bryce would agree.
I love that when I told them to pose for a picture Addisyn thought that she needed to help Oakley smile.

Aquarium
Back in November I took a week off and since Robyn is off on maternity leave we decided to go to the aquarium. I had never been to the aquarium before and it was definitely something I would do again especially since they're getting otters January. We kind of got a late start to the day because with three kids it takes Robyn forever to get ready but it turned out OK because we left so late my mom was able to come with us. The first thing we did when we got there was go watch the peguins eat. The penguins that they have are the fastest species of penguin so it was very interesting to watch them zip around in the tank. When they were being fed it was very interesting watch them because they lined up and waited patiently for their turn to get a fish.
Doesn't this look like it would be such a delicious dinner.
We were trying to hide from my mom. It was a tight squeeze.
They had a display where you could touch different sea creatures I was a little nervous at first but none of them were slimy. It was my first time touching string ray and they were very interesting. There was one string ray that kept swimming up the side of the tank and that freaked me out everytime.
This display shocked you when you touched it and my mom refused to touch it. It was so hilarious to watch her try to get the courage to touch it. I tried to convince her by telling her that she didn't want to be shown up by a two year old because Oakley was touching it and smiling. That didn't seem to convince her and she never touched it.

Crazy
If I'm not crazy now I will definitely be crazy by December. Starting August 22nd I am going to be going to school at the ATC 9 hours a week, taking 12 credits at Weber and working full time. I was hoping to be done at the ATC by the time that Weber starts but it's not going to happen and I don't want to wait a whole semester to start at Weber so for the next few months I am going to be pull my hair out busy. So, if I don't blog until December you know why. Wish me luck.

Owls
There is this cool new store that just opened up by my house that has a whole bunch of wood cut out that you can just paint. We found some super cute owls and decided to paint them. I love to paint things with my sisters and my mom because everyone's stuff always turns out so cute but so different. Whenever we do a project we make a mini version for Addisyn to paint and her owl was sitting on my mom's kitchen table the other day and she picked it up and the legs fell off and she got mad at my mom for not telling her that the legs weren't hooked on yet. I think it's funny because Addisyn has gotten an attitude lately but she is still adorable.
This has nothing to do with making the owls but the other day I was talking to my cousin Jenn and she was telling me a funny story about Addisyn. They were at a baby shower and Addisyn said "ugh my grandma said this was going to be fun but this is a grown up party. I wish Heather was here." Jenn asked her why she wanted me to be there and Addisyn's response was "She has games on her phone" I'm glad to here that she doesn't actually like me just my phone. The first thing she does when she sees me is ask to have my phone. Luckily Jenn was nice enough to download some games for her to play.
I can't turn this picture around for some reason but they all turned out way different but all very cute. The legs still need to be hooked on so maybe one day I will post a completed picture.
Brittany was having a ton of fun helping Oakley paint.
Here I am deep in concentration painting my owls stomach.

All Girl
I took my mom's memory card for her camera to post some pictures on Facebook and I found this picture and just had to post it on my blog. Oakley is definitely all girl she loves shoes and purses. Everytime I go over to my parents Oakley takes my shoes off my feet so that she can wear them and she always returns them and puts then back on my fee when she is done playing with them. She also carries my purse around which is especially funny because its almost as big as her and is usually really heavy. Oakley is so funny to talk to her favorite thing to say is "huh" no matter what you say to her the response is always "huh". She is super smart and totally knows how to get her way. If she doesn't want to do what you tell her to do she just gives your a mischievious grin says "huh" and then does whatever she wants. Unfortunately, Adam is learning from Oakley and now if he doesn't want to do what I ask him to do he will just keep saying "huh" no matter how many times I repeat myself.
Adventures in Softball
So I have been playing softball for the past few years with the same team and I love it. I may not be the best but it's nice to have a scheduled time each week to get some exercise. Last night was our first game of the fall season and my cousin Jenn was player catcher and the second batter of the night hit a foul ball that hit Jenn in the mouth. Her lip immediately started to bleed so she was just going to sit out until she could get it to stop bleeding but and then play again. When it stopped bleeding she went to the bathroom to wash her hands and when she looked at her lip she decided that she needed to go get stitches rather than play. One of the guys on our team can't play right now so he was going to take her to the instacare but my mom and Laurie came to watch right then so they took her instead. Unfortunately, the instacare was closed she ended up going to the ER. Five stitches and some pain medication later she is as good as new. I learned a good lesson from this whole situation. I learned that I need to be more prepared when I go to softball. Sometimes I don't bring my wallet or my phone which would be really bad if I got hurt. Jenn didn't have her insurance card so she had to call Ryan who is in Oklahoma working to get the information. Because Jenn had to leave we needed another girl so that all of our guys could bat. One of the girls on our team broke her hand so we was just watching but she ended up filling in and did an amazin job batting with just one hand. We ended up winning the game 22-5 and I even got a triple. After the stitches

zumba
I never thought that I would say this but I love Zumba. There are a few different reasons why I never thought that I would like zumba the first being the fact that I hate to workout and the second being the fact that I am really white and have no rhythm. My friend Larissa has been asking me to go to Zumba with her for a few weeks and I managed to make an excuse the first couple of weeks but yesterday I started to feel guilty about not going so I decided to just suck it up and go and boy am I glad that I went. I still have no rhythm and I can't dance but going to class yesterday made me realize that it doesn't matter if I have rhythm or not because everyone is there to have fun and workout. Also everyone else is so worried about being able to do the moves that the instructor is doing that they don't have time to worry about what other people are doing. I am only a little sore today and will definitely be going back next week and every week before we start to play softball and even then if we have a late game I might go to Zumba before softball because I am not officially a Zumba addict. Sorry that I don't have any pictures I'm sure you would all enjoy my sweet dance moves but I was too busy to take pictures.

Hockey
A few weeks ago my cousin Morgan invited us to come and watch her play hockey the game started at 9pm which was kind of late but I was glad because that made it so I was able to go after I got off work. The first question Adam asked me when I invited him to come to the game was "Is there going to be any fight?" I told him that there probably weren't going to be any fights but he still came and I think that he still had fun. It has been a long time since we got to watch Morgan play hockey and it was so fun to watch her. When her team first skated out onto the ice we were all trying to find her and just as we spotted her she fell down. It was really funny that she happened to fall right then because we were all looking at her. She had a really good cheering section there for her since she invited us all on Facebook and she hardly ever plays in Utah because there aren't too many womens teams. She scored her team's only goal of the night and was really excited when she scored. She is a really good skater and really agressive I wish that she played games here more often. Unfortunately her team lost but she played really well. It was just a practice game and it was kind of obvious that some of the people didn't care rather they won or not. Hopefully they will do better when they go to play in the national tournament in a couple of weeks. Thanks Robyn for letting me steal your pictures since I didn't take any of my own.
What I've been up to
I know that I always say that I will blog more and then I don't but here is what has been keeping busy. At school I have been taking impressions to make models, bleach trays, and mouth guards. I am so glad that I am done with that section because I swear I was getting worse at taking impressions the more that I practiced. Now on to amalgams, composites, IRMs and coronal polishing.
Girls night
About a month ago I decided to have a girls night Addisyn loves to have sleepover and asks to spend the night all of the time. Usually when she asks to spend the night I have to work or go to school but there was a holiday so I thought that it would be a perfect time to have her spend the night and since I'm not too much fun decided to invite Whitney and Jacee. We had a good time watching movies, playing games and painting nails. I do have to say that by the time they left the next day I was ready for a nap. I mean really who wakes up at 7:45am on their day off. They were showing me their fingernails but Jacee looks more like she's in a gang.

Door Hangers
We try to do a craft every month of two and now that we all have houses we usually make something to decorate our house. Most months we make door hangers but now we have a different door hanger for almost every month we are going to have to figure out another craft to do. Let me know if you have any ideas of what we can make. I know that I have posted pictures of some of the door hangers that I have made but I haven't posted all of them so I decided to dedicate a post just to the door hangers.
Crafty
I know that I have been an absentee blogger for a while now ever since we had a week off of school for Christmas I have had a really hard time getting back into a routine but I am now back into my old routine so hopefully I will have more time to blog and something to blog about. Lately my life has consisted of pretending to study and working.
For a while now I have been wanting to make a Valentines decoration to put on the top of my kitchen cabinets and I saw a cute project on another blog that I wanted to try. Usually when I do crafts I do them with my mom and sisters so when I get frustrated I can just have someone else finish my project for me. Last night when I was out grocery shopping I decided to stop at the craft store to see if I could find the stuff to make the project I had seen online. At the first craft store I couldn't find everything that I needed but I did find some cute paper to use. So I went to Joanns to see if I could find the rest of the stuff since I was already out and I usually don't have time to go to the store unless it 8 o'clock at night and I hate going to the store after work when I get off late. I found the rest of the stuff that I needed and headed home. I decided to just work on the project even though it was kind of late because I was excited to see the finised product. Adam gave me a few suggestions on how to do things but other than that I did it all on my own and I actually like how it turned out.
