This year we had thanksgiving dinner at Ann and Calvin's our contribution to dinner was mashed potatoes and Adam was obsessed with making the perfect mashed potatoes. He did extensive research on different ways to make mashed potatoes and finally found a recipe that he thought would be great. Unfortunately the recipe required a specific type of potatoes and it wasn't the type that we have 50 lbs. of in the pantry (every year my parents buy us a 50 lbs. bag of Idaho potatoes). Since I was at work and he was still taking pain medication he asked my mom if she would get the stuff for the potatoes and since Robyn was already out my mom passed the task on to her. I'm so glad that I have a great family that is willing to help us out. He missed calculated how long it would take to make the potatoes so we were 45 minutes late getting to dinner luckily my family is always running a little behind so they were just finishing everything up when we got there. There was so much good food and I felt like I didn't get to eat enough of it because I got full too quickly. Next year I think that I will start training for thanksgiving so I can eat more. Every year after dinner we always sit down and look at the ads to plan our strategy for shopping the next. I can't believe that store just keeping opening earlier and earlier. There were a lot more pictures with people showing their chewed up food but I thought that one was enough for this postAdam was dumping his gravy off his plate and onto all of the rolls
