Lasagna hates me!

So, I would definitely say that I am not a gourmet chef but I can usually make dinner without ruining it with the exception of Lasagna. For my mom's birthday back in August I thought that I would be nice and invite everyone over for dinner and make lasagna. Well when I was making the sauce I was adding salt (we had a salt grinder) and the lids popped off and dumped all the salt into the sauce I tried to scoop out the salt because it was too late to start over but it didn't work so well and was still pretty salty. Then yesterday I invited my parents over for lasagna because we always have tons left over if it is just me and Adam eating it since it makes such a big pan. My Mom had mutual but she said my dad would still come over so that she didn't have to worry about making him dinner before mutual. So I got off work at 5 and my Dad was coming over at six thirty which was just enough time to make the lasagna. I had Adam start boiling the water for the noodles and cooking the meat before I got home so the food would for sure be done on time. I was so proud of myself for being so prepared and that the lasagna would definitely be done on time. I must have been feeling a bit too confident because that is when disaster hit. I was layering the lasagna into the dish and started to smell something really bad. At first I thought it may be the cheese but I smelled the cheese and it was fine. So I had Adam smell it and decided that something was definitely bad. We finally decided that it was the tomatoes in the sauce. So I had to throw all that food away and figure out something else to make which was not an easy task since all the meat I had was frozen and my Dad was going to be there in 45 minutes. I ended up making chicken and mashed potatoes and I have officially decided that lasagna hates me.

Thats funny! It made me laugh. I think mom forgot that dad was going to your house for dinner cause she grabbed something to make when I kindly reminded her at he was coming to your house for dinner. Do you want me to bring you some Brownies to make you fill better cause I know you haven't had the best of luck with those either.

Dang it! Thats frustrating! I still give you an A+ though for pretty much making two dinners, that is one more then I have made this week. However in my defense that is party due to Andy working nights. But I am sorry about your bad lasagna experience.

I would just like to point out that my brownies that came out of the box tasted perfectly fine.Just because they had a big bubble in them didn't make them taste bad. The ones that I made from scratch didn't taste like chocolate but they were fabulous with ice cream and hot fudge on them but I'm sure that Adam would appreciate it if you brought him some brownies.
