Rodeo

Every year I go to the rodeo with my family which is good because Adam doesn't like the rodeo so he chooses to stay home. I always have to get some cotton candy at the rodeo this year I also got a soda which cost $3.00 which was the most expensive soda I have ever bought that is until I went to the Real Salt Lake game and paid $3.50. Its not cheap being a soda addict. Addisyn was sitting on my lap when the skydivers landed in the stadium and she informed me that she is going to parachute when she is older. There was one really close call with one of the bulls he almost go one of the clowns.Once Addisyn got the cotton candy she completely forgot the change so it was my job to wait for it.This is how Addisyn spent most of her time at the Rodeo

Back to School

I have been talking about going back to school for a long time and for one reason or another I have ended up not going but I am really going back this fall. I got my work schedule all arranged and today I went to sign up for Classes. My ultimate goal is to become a dental hygienist so I am starting out by going to the ATC to get my dental assisting certificate. Brittany is going into the same thing with so hopefully we can keep each other motivated. I have about another month of freedom and then it will be all work and no play. Hopefully it will be worth it when I finally get my degree. I took some pictures of us waiting to meet with someone to sign up for school

Adam's Birthday

Yesterday was Adam's birthday and I hope that he had really great birthday it was pretty relaxed he went to the movies by himself because he was going to a movie I didn't want to see and he enjoys going to see movies by himself. In the evening we went to my parent's for dinner. I was so excited to give Adam his present that I had to give it to him right at midnight after we got home from the Real Salt Lake game. I got him a Seattle Sounders soccer jersey that says Ethington on the back he mentioned that he wanted a jersey a while ago so I was excited that I remembered. He didn't want a Real Jersey because he doesn't like the way that their jersey looks.

I just want to wish Adam happy birthday and tell him how much I love and appreciate him. He is really great and is always willing to help me out with cleaning the house and making dinner when he gets off work before me. He is also always trying to make me smile and laugh and is always trying to make everything fun.

Real Salt Lake

Adam and I took of few days off for his birthday and were planning to go on a little trip but since we went out of town last weekend we decided to just stay home so Adam got to choose what he wanted to do. His choose was to go to a Real Salt Lake Game I love every sport and Adam really likes soccer so it worked out perfect for both of us. We had talked about going to a Real game for a while now so I was really excited to go and since it was the 24th of July they had fireworks after the game. We had really good seats we were on the 6th row at midfield so we had a great view of the field. I took a picture of us before the game started but I forgot to take pictures during the game because I was so into watching the game. Unfortunately Real didn't win, the game ended in a tie but I guesses its better that they tied than lost. I am really excited to go to another game in a couple if weeks with my friends from work. On our way down to the game we stopped at Adam's parent's house to have dinner for his birthday it was really nice to get to visit. Adam's Dad made the cake and his sister Liz decorated it. After the game they let people onto the field to watch the fireworks and it was crazy down on the field so we decided to just stay in our seats.

Lava Hot Springs

We went on a family camping trip Lava Hot Springs and although it had its moments of not being very much fun overall it was an OK trip. We were going to go tubing on Friday when we got there but we got a late start and then got stuck in construction so it was too late to tube by the time we got their. I have never actually had to set up a tent before but Jenn and I set up a tent all by ourselves. After camp was all set up we decided to play softball because there was a big open field next to our camp. I have to say the teams were not really fair it was me and all the little kids against all of the adults luckily the little kids were really good. The next day we went to the pool every time I go to Lava I always jump off the platforms but I am always a little nervous. This time I went up to the second platform but I couldn't force myself to go to the third one, after all I am afraid of heights. There are also some really fun slides at the pool unfortunately there was a little bit of a breeze so it was cold waiting in line for the slides. I had to check and see how high it was before I jumped off the 2nd platform I was so nervous that I was flailing my arms and hit Adam This was the first time I jumped off the 1st platform Adam was trying to jump off at the same time as me but I got nervous and had to take an extra second before I jumped This is me and Addisyn hanging out in the deep end of the pool waiting for Adam to just off the platforms. Holding her made me realize that I never want to gain weight it was a lot harder to keep my head above the water holding and extra 25 pounds. July 3rd

Since the 4th happened to fall on a Sunday this year most of the festivities happened on Saturday the 3rd. I had to work all day so I couldn't go to any of the parades but I was able to go to the annual party at my uncle Jerry's and aunt Darcia's house. We always have a BBQ and then swim until its time for the fireworks. This year Adam's sister Liz came with us it was really fun to get to hang out with her. Unfortunately Adam couldn't find his camera so I don't have any pictures.

The 4th of July

When my grandparent's were alive we used to always have a big family BBQ on the 4th of July. This year one of my Mom's cousins decided to start the tradition again so we all got together for some good food and some games. We got a bunch of people to play volleyball so I was in heaven I love playing volleyball even if it was like 100 degrees outside. It was a really fun party and I hope that we can all get together again next year.

Father's Day

I have a lot of stuff to blog about I just haven't felt like actually blogging when I get home from work and sometimes I type up my posts at work and then just add the pictures at home but work has been ridiculously busy so I haven't had time to do that.

My parent's were in California with Robyn and her family for father's day which was good because it gave us an extra week to make my Dad's present. We decided to make raised garden boxes for my dad because he had mentioned to my Mom that he would like to have some. Our original plan was to pour cement around the garden but I am glad that we decided to make the garden boxes since none of us know how to pour cement. My Dad had been too busy this summer to even plant his garden so before we could make the garden boxes we had to weed the garden which was a lot of work. Weeding was pretty traumatic for me around my parents garden they had boards to keep the grass out and the boards were kind of rotting away from being against the dirt for so long. So when we started to pull the boards out they had tons of ants on them then my eye really started to burn really bad so I was rubbing it because I thought that maybe I got dirt in it and it started to burn worse so I asked Jenn if she could see something wrong with my eye. She told me that I had an ant stuck in my eyelashes and it was biting my eyelid. Jenn is terrified of ants but she was nice enough to get it off my eye so that it would stop biting me. The next day we were weeding and I was at one end of the garden working and Jenn was at the other end spraying weed killer and all of a sudden a mouse came running towards me. I almost had a heartattack but luckily the next day the neighbors dog caught the mouse and killed it.

The next day we took the boards and some grass to the dump and Austin and I almost got buried in a pile of garbage when it started to fall down on top of us. After that we finally put the garden box together and it turned out really well. My Dad is going to make a few more boxes to finish filling up the garden and then get some bark to go around the boxes so that no weeds get in them.

The World's Best Gum

I just ate my last piece of the world's best gum. If you haven't tried Trident Layers (green apple and golden pineapple) then you are missing out it is the world's best gum.

Friday Night Recap

So I love the Twilight series I am not super crazy like some people but I definitely enjoy reading the books and seeing the movies. So I went to see Eclipse with Jenn and Beth last night. When I told Adam I was going with them he seemed upset that I didn't ask him to go. I think that he is a closet lover of Twilight. The movie was great I would have to say that it was the best one so far I liked that all of Charlie's lines were funny. Someone brought a little kid that was like 2 and a brand new baby to the movie and they were a bit loud but thankfully they left half way through the movie. Then the people behind us were talking but Jenn took care of that quick when she turned around and told them to shut up. we also made the movie better by adding our own commentary. Overall it was a really good movie and I will definitely buy it.

After the movie was over we went to Beth and Bob's to wait for Marn to bring T back while we were waiting we started to do a puzzle and once we started it we had to finish. It took a really long time since it had trees and water which were really had to put together. I realized that I really suck at doing puzzles and definitely didn't do my share on this one but I got to put in the last piece because I was hoarding the pieces. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures because I forgot to bring my camera
