New member of the family

On Thursday September 17, 2009 my sister Robyn had her baby girl Oakley Ann Burrows. She was born at 9:36am and weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 21 inches long. I forgot how little new babies are she seems smaller then addisyn was when she was born but she is actually 1 lb. 6 oz. bigger. I have some pictures of her but I will have to post them tonight when Adam can help me I misplaced my camera and we can't find the cord for Adam's camera so we have to use Adam's phone to put the pictures on the computer and I have no idea how to do that. This is yet another reason why I am so excited to move we are so cramped in our apartment now that we keep losing stuff.

House update

The house is really coming along the plumbing is all done and the electrical work should all be done by the end of this week. It is amazing how quickly everything is getting done. We made some changes to where the electrical outlets and internet plug so last night we went to check and make sure that everything had been moved to the correct spots. It was a really good thing that we went and checked because some of the outlets were not in the right place and we also noticed that they had not put the right kind of bathtub in the master bath. They put in a normal tub and we are supposed to be getting a jetted tub which I have to admit I am super excited about because I love to take baths. I am super excited to get to move into a place that is our own and I love watching them build it.

What is a lifetime guarantee?

My Junior year in high school I was on the swim team and everyday after practice there was four of us that would sit int the sauna and talk. One day the question of what is a lifetime guarantee came up. None of us knew what the right answer was but we did come up with a few different options for what a lifetime guarantee could be. The first option is that a lifetime guarantee would be for the lifetime of the product which would be pretty pointless because that would mean that when the product breaks or stops working then it wouldn't be guaranteed anymore so you couldn't get it replaced. Another option was that it was guaranteed for the lifetime of the person who purchased the product and if the is the case is it no longer guaranteed when I die or if I purchase the product when I am twenty and I die when I am ninety is the product still guaranteed for 20 years after I die since I only had it for 70 years and my lifetime is actually 90 years long? I suddenly thought of this of conversation last night that we had 4 years ago and we have still not come up with the correct answer. Honestly I don't even know if there is a right answer but I thought that I would write a post about it to see what other people think.

Lesson learned

When I came to work today it was sunny and warm so I left my sunroof open. Well when I just looked outside it was raining so I had to run out in the rain to close my sunroof and right when I got outside it started raining really harder. By the time I got to my car I was way wet and my hair was looking pretty crazy because the wind was blowing pretty hard. So I learned my lesson even when it looks sunny and warm I shouldn't leave my sunroof open because if I do I will end up soaking wet and freezing and all the time that I spent straightening my hair will be wasted because my hair will be wavy from the rain.

House update

I went and checked out the progress again and it is getting done really fast. we now have a second floor and a roof. I took pictures of the inside but its had to tell what is going on so I will post different pictures when it is easier to tell what it going on.

Zoo

Last Sunday when everyone was at my parents house my niece invited us to go to the zoo and see the"aminals" with her. I hadn't gone to the zoo since I was in about first grade so it sounded like fun especially since Adam was out of town and I would have just sat at home all day on Monday. My sister said that last year when they went it wasn't very crowded well that was definitely not the case this year it took us like twenty minutes to find a parking place but it wasn't too bad once we got inside and everyone spread out. My mom and me have decided that we are going to go back at the end of the month and take my niece to see the baby elephant because it wasn't out yet and hopefully some of the animals will be more active since it will be cooler.Jacee was the wrong height all the railings were at eye level so he either had to duck and look under or have someone pick her upIt was really cool because when the giraffes were eating they were super close

Birthday BBQ

Yesterday September 5th was my Grandpa Marietti's 79th birthday. My sister decided plan a big BBQ for everyone to get together to celebrate his birthday. It was really fun and good to see everyone that we don't get to see too often.Everyone brought tons of yummy salads and I don't think that I will need to eat again for about a week. I have a ton of picture with this post because I want to try to post at least one picture of each person that was at the BBQ.

Drive-in

Last night I went to the drive in with two of my sister in laws, Cassi and Liz. It was really fun to just get to hang out and get to know them better. There were not really any good movies playing so we just decided to go see Shorts and Transformers. I had never seen the first Transformers movie so I was hoping that I would still be able to understand the movie. It turns out that I didn't really care to watch Transformers because it was boring so I just went to sleep. One tradition we have for the drive in is to take pizza with us for dinner. I had been looking forward to having Papa John's pizza all week because it is my favorite. On my way to get the pizza I realized that I didn't have anything to listen to the movie on so after a short detour to my parents house to get my old school boom box we finally made it to the movie. Unfortunately because it gets dark so early nowand we were running a little late because of our detour we didn't have time to play cards before the movie started. Oh well I guess we will just have to plan that for another night.

We finally found a house

A girl that I work with lives in a townhouse in West Haven I went to her house to watch twilight a while ago and really liked her house. I have been telling Adam that we should buy one of the townhouses by her. They are just building them so we would be able to pick everything out. When the last house we were going to buy fell through we decided to check out the townhouses just to see if it was even an option for us and it turned out that all the ones that were almost done were already sold and the next ones wouldn't be done until the end of November. We were sure that we wanted to wait that long so we were going to just keep looking for a house but then the realtor called us and said someone had backed out so there was a unit that was available and we could move in within about a week. We decided that it was worth looking at but when we went and looked at it we decided it would be more worth it to wait rather than have what someone else wanted. So we are now getting one of the townhouses and we are waiting until November for it to be done so that we can have it done the way that we want. My friend Suggested that I take pictures and the construction progresses so my mom and my niece Addisyn went and took some pictures yesterday. I am going to try to take pictures ever week or two so that I can have pictures of the whole process. They are building it really fast last week when we went it was just the foundation now the have most of the first floor walls up. We took pictures of both end units
because we have a contract on one but we are hoping to be able to switch to the other end we are just waiting to see if the lady who has the other end either wants to change to a middle unit or if she doesn't sell her house she can't buying. So we are hoping that we can get that one. That seem mean like we are kicking someone else out of their house. Don't mind my hair and glasses in the pictures I stayed up until two in the morning playing farm town on facebook and had to be at work at 8 the next morning. Probably not the best choice I have ever made but I am a little addicted to that game.

Wedding

On August 13th my little sister Brittany got married to Andy Edwards. I haven't blogged about it sooner because I didn't have any pictures of my own. I didn't forget to take my camera with me or anything I just never took it out of my purse. They got married at the bountiful temple and had their reception at The Victorian in Layton. At The Victorian they take your car and hide it so that it can't be decorated so we decided to decorate the car at the luncheon. I don't have any pictures of that so I will have to find one and post it. Brittany's friend Jenny didn't want to go and try to catch the boquet but my aunt forced her to and Brittany ended up throwing the boquet right to her. Jenny even tried to knock it on the ground so she didn't have to have it but she still ended up with it. I guess it was just meant to be. When they were leaving instead of having guest throw rice or blow bubbles they gave out balloons in their wedding colors and everyone let them go as they walked by it looked really neat I will have to find a picture of it and post it. I got a new dress for her wedding and decided that my siblings need to get married more often so that I can get a new dress unfortunately she was my last sibling that wasn't married. So I will have to figure out another reason to get new outfits. Does anyone have any ideas?
