24th of July Parade

This was the best 24th of July parade ever! There was a slight drizzle when the parade started but it didn't bother us because my parents had brought their pop-up canopies

Taz and Jacee got recruited to hold the banner.
Whitney and Sloane both danced in the parade.

Robyn walked with them because they thought it would be super hot and that they would need lots of water to drink but since it rained they just ended up walking behind them.

All you can eat shrimp

Every year when I see the commercial for all you can eat shrimp at Red Lobster I want to go but every year Brittany and Andy go without me. :( Adam hates seafood and he complains about how bad the restaraunt smells the whole time we're there if I drag him along with me so this year I decided to plan a night to go get shrimp and anyone who wanted to go was invited. We had quite a long wait but it gave us time to visit.

To keep us entertained while we waited we hung Zoey on the coat rack.

My mom insisted on making her shrimp tails into a work of art.
We kept track of how many shrimp we ate and I learned that my eyes are bigger than my stomach.

Craft Night

I love the concept of doing crafts, however when it comes down to actually making the craft I am not super creative and I get annoyed really easily so I am all about recruiting help. I have a ladder on my front porch that has cute decorations that hang on it. The only bad part is that I have to make all the cute decorations to go on it. We also try to make a cute door hanger for each month. I love that everyone just brings whatever craft they need to work on and we all do our own thing.
I recruited Linda because I couldn't figure out how to put the scarecrow together.
Sarah proved to Robyn that she is crafty.
Robyn made with adorable Wicked with some help from Colton and me and by help I mean that we bossed her around and told her how to paint each letter.

My mom was making baby books for the grandkids.
Colton started out helping Larissa but then he switched and helped me paint. He probably only helped because he got tired of helping me complain about how much I hate doing crafts.
Larissa has about as much patients for crafts as I do so we were both very happy with her finished product..

Addisyn loves to craft with us so Robyn always makes sure to bring something for her to paint.

Roy Days

I am so far behind with my blog because of school and life in general but I will do my best to post about everything that we have been up to in the last 7 months and hopefully try to stay caught up since I'm not going to school this semester.
My family has been really into running the last couple of years so we had a few people that ran the 5K for Roy Day. Since I don't run I just got to cheer them on. I always hear people saying that they love running and that it's super relaxing but whenever I try to run I feel the exact opposite of that. I despise running and it definitely doesn't make me feel relaxed. It makes me feel like I'm going to die. Whenever I see those e-cards on Pinterest about running they make me laugh because they describe my relationship with running. Especially the one that says something like if you see me running then you better start running too because someone is chasing me.

Mylee and Oakley love to hangout with each other.
Our pre-parade entertainment.
More pre-parade entertainment.
We got so much candy that me and Cody had to help pick it up.
I made sure to hold Dayton when the aquatic center float came by so they could get Brittany nice and wet. They didn't seem to be too scared of her when she started telling them that they couldn't get her wet because she was their boss.

4th of July

Growing up we always went to Old Glory Days in Riverdale for the 4th of July but now that we have family member's in parades our traditions have changed. The night before my parents stake had rented the aquatic center so everyone went and then Jacee, Oakley, and Addisyn came home with me to have a sleepover. Oakley always wants to spend the night at my house but when she does she always ends up crying when she gets tired because she misses her mom and dad.  Luckily Jacee was able to get her to lay down and she was asleep with 5 minutes. As much as I love to have them spend the night my bed isn't big enough for all of us. I ended up laying on the very edge of the bed and then I woke up in the middle of the night to find Oakley laying on my half hanging off the bed.  I was planning on getting up early and getting ready and then getting the girls up so I could get them ready but things didn't exactly go as planned. We woke up an hour late and only had 20 minutes to get ready before Larissa came over. Our first stop of the day was Plain City's parade. We made it to the parade with plenty of time to spare but then we forgot Jacee's tumbling at my house and had to run back. We really didn't need to go back to my house because Ann had another pair of gloves but I couldn't find my phone so she couldn't call me. My dad and Cody ran in the 5K and we had planned to go watch them cross the finish line but I don't know my way around Plain City so we decided to just go sit and wait for the parade to start. The Silverline was in the parade and they did a great job they actually danced in front of us. We also got to see my Cousin Holly's kids in the parade because they're officers at Wahlquist and Fremont. Our next stop was Hooper parade to watch Jacee tumble for the dance studio. Hooper does their parade later than most of the other cities which is nice because we can go to mutiple parades but it also sucks because it is super hot by the time the parade starts. After the parade I was supposed to go shopping with Whitney for her outfit for Silverline pictures but I went home and took a 4 hour nap instead. When I woke up I waas finally able to find my phone and my mom told me that everyone was at Dave and Lesa's house swimming so I headed over their while Adam headed to the Real game.

Zoey is definitely a morning person.
Dayton having a grea time at the parade.
Oakley hates loud noises so she had her hands over her ears for most of the parade.
Parker got to drive the ambulance.
You can see both Whitney and Sloane in this picture which is awesome because they weren't standing close together.

Waiting for the Hooper parade to start. Whitney was happy to be in the shade instead of dancing in another parade.
Here is Jacee showing off her tumbling moves.
Dayton seemed hot so I took off his clothes.
