We finally found a house

A girl that I work with lives in a townhouse in West Haven I went to her house to watch twilight a while ago and really liked her house. I have been telling Adam that we should buy one of the townhouses by her. They are just building them so we would be able to pick everything out. When the last house we were going to buy fell through we decided to check out the townhouses just to see if it was even an option for us and it turned out that all the ones that were almost done were already sold and the next ones wouldn't be done until the end of November. We were sure that we wanted to wait that long so we were going to just keep looking for a house but then the realtor called us and said someone had backed out so there was a unit that was available and we could move in within about a week. We decided that it was worth looking at but when we went and looked at it we decided it would be more worth it to wait rather than have what someone else wanted. So we are now getting one of the townhouses and we are waiting until November for it to be done so that we can have it done the way that we want. My friend Suggested that I take pictures and the construction progresses so my mom and my niece Addisyn went and took some pictures yesterday. I am going to try to take pictures ever week or two so that I can have pictures of the whole process. They are building it really fast last week when we went it was just the foundation now the have most of the first floor walls up. We took pictures of both end units
because we have a contract on one but we are hoping to be able to switch to the other end we are just waiting to see if the lady who has the other end either wants to change to a middle unit or if she doesn't sell her house she can't buying. So we are hoping that we can get that one. That seem mean like we are kicking someone else out of their house. Don't mind my hair and glasses in the pictures I stayed up until two in the morning playing farm town on facebook and had to be at work at 8 the next morning. Probably not the best choice I have ever made but I am a little addicted to that game.

Wedding

On August 13th my little sister Brittany got married to Andy Edwards. I haven't blogged about it sooner because I didn't have any pictures of my own. I didn't forget to take my camera with me or anything I just never took it out of my purse. They got married at the bountiful temple and had their reception at The Victorian in Layton. At The Victorian they take your car and hide it so that it can't be decorated so we decided to decorate the car at the luncheon. I don't have any pictures of that so I will have to find one and post it. Brittany's friend Jenny didn't want to go and try to catch the boquet but my aunt forced her to and Brittany ended up throwing the boquet right to her. Jenny even tried to knock it on the ground so she didn't have to have it but she still ended up with it. I guess it was just meant to be. When they were leaving instead of having guest throw rice or blow bubbles they gave out balloons in their wedding colors and everyone let them go as they walked by it looked really neat I will have to find a picture of it and post it. I got a new dress for her wedding and decided that my siblings need to get married more often so that I can get a new dress unfortunately she was my last sibling that wasn't married. So I will have to figure out another reason to get new outfits. Does anyone have any ideas?

I seriously don't get people sometimes

The other night I went to the store after work and when I was getting in my car to leave I looked up and saw a lady with oxygen on smoking in a car. Seriously that is just one big explosion waiting to happen and honestly if she needs oxygen I don't think that she needs to smoke.

House Hunting

So we were two weeks away from getting a house and the people just backed out of the deal. I really have no idea how they could do this since they had already excepted our offer. I guess they decided not to sell their house or wait to sell it or something. This is the second offer we have put in and this is the second time that the people have suddenly decided not to sell their house. Seriously why did you put it up for sell if you weren't going to sell it that just doesn't make sense.

Birthday

So Saturday was my Mom's birthday. I just wanted to let everyone know how much I love and appreciate my Mom. She is so great and would do anything for me or Adam even if it means staying up until three in the morning helping me make a recipe book for Brittany's shower when she has to work the next morning. One of the biggest things that I have learned from my Mom is that even though it nice to have a super clean house that's not what your kids will remember they will remember all the things that they got to experience. I hope that one day when I have kids I can be as great a mom to them as my mom has been for me. Saturday night for her birthday we had a family dinner at my house. I made lasagna and it turned out okay just a little salty since the top came off of the salt when I was making the sauce for the lasagna. Oh and our swamp cooler decided to stop working on Saturday so it was roasting hot in my house when everyone came over for dinner.
My mom and dad eating some salty lasagna
I guess the lasagna was edible since Cody, Addisyn and Robyn ate it too.
Brittany and Andy had to eat by themselves because they came an hour late
We all went in together and got her a GPS

I'm surprised we didn't burn the house down with all those candles

Union Station

So I couple of weeks ago I saw on my sister-in-law Crystal's blog that they went to Union Station and I thought that this would be really fun to do with Addisyn. So, Saturday after the parade we went to look at the trains. Addisyn had been really excited to go ever since I told her that we were going to see trains and she kept telling everyone that we were going to ride the trains. Unfortunately there were no trains to ride but we did get to climb on them. It was super fun and my Mom told me about how when she was a kid they used to play tag on the trains and that they used to climb on top of them to get away from the person who was it. Surprisingly no one ever got hurt. They had a machine that smashed penny's so I decided that it would be fun for Addisyn to have one to remember the day by. She loved it she carried it around in her pocket the rest of the day and would let people look at it but she wouldn't let them touch it.
I thought this picture was so cute with her laughing everytime I tried taking a picture she would say cheese which would make her pull a weird face.

I thought that it was funny that the wheel was so much bigger than her
She loved pushing the button to make the train go
The train would go through a tunnel and come out at the other end of the display this is Addisyn and my Mom waiting for the train to come out of the tunnel

Roy Day's

Saturday was a very busy but fun day. First it started off with the Roy Day's parade. I was babysitting my niece Addisyn because my sister was at education week in Idaho and her husband Cody had to work. She spent the night Friday so that I didn't have to go pick her up in the morning. We thought that the parade started at nine but it really started at nine thirty so we were waiting for a really long time for it to start. It was really fun but it was the longest parade I have ever been to. My mom and Brittany both had to leave before the parade was over because it was so long.

This is the float that my aunt and uncle made for their stake
Lesa, Sloane and Taz having fun at the parade Addisyn not having so much fun she hates the fire trucks.

Andy and Brittany posing before the parade since they hardly got to watch any of the parade because it was so slow and Britt had to go to work
